Enhancing Bubble Removal in Geometry‐Optimized Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
3D‐printed lattice electrodes outperform stochastic foams in alkaline water electrolysis despite 20%–25% lower surface area. Straight flow channels generate Venturi‐like bubble entrainment, suppressing gas accumulation that renders foam interiors electrochemically inactive.

Microstructure Reconstruction in Battery Electrodes Using Machine Learning Based on Low‐Voltage Focused Ion Beam–Scanning Electron Microscopy Tomography Images

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Cohomological Hall algebras and their representations via torsion pairs

open access: yes, 2022
In this paper, we provide a way of attaching to a torsion pair $(T,F)$ on the heart of a stable $\infty$-category $C$ a cohomological (K-theoretical, categorified) Hall algebra and corresponding left and right representations. More precisely, the algebra

Different packing motifs of isomeric (E)-N′-(halophenylmethylidene)-N-methyl-2-(thiophen-2-yl)acetohydrazides controlled by C—H...O interactions

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2018
The crystal structures of three isomeric (E)-N′-(chlorophenylmethylidene)-N-methyl-2-(thiophen-2-yl)acetohydrazides (C14H13ClN2OS) are described, with the Cl atom in ortho (I), meta (III) and para (IV) positions in the benzene ring.

Designing Polymer Nanocomposites for X‐Ray Shielding: Mechanisms, Architectures, and Scalable Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights advances in lightweight, lead‐free polymer nanocomposites for diagnostic X‐ray shielding. By linking filler chemistry, dispersion, architecture, and photon interaction mechanisms, it establishes structure–performance relationships guiding material design.

Ethyl (2E,4E)-5-(3-bromophenylsulfonyl)penta-2,4-dienoate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2013
In the title compound, C13H13BrO4S, both C=C double bonds adopt an E conformation. The S atom has a distorted tetrahedral geometry with bond angles ranging from 102.17 (13) to 119.77 (14)°.
