Torsion subgroups of small cancellation groups
We prove that torsion subgroups of groups defined by C(6), C(4)-T(4) or C(3)-T(6) small cancellation presentations are finite cyclic groups. This follows from a more general result on the existence of fixed points for locally elliptic (every element fixes a point) actions of groups on simply connected small cancellation complexes.

Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) exhibits a pro‐tumorigenic immune environment, increased oncologic signalling, and tumour remodelling, with three immune subgroups from ‘cold’ to ‘hot’. Organ transplant recipients (OTR) with cSCC showed reduced T‐cells and greater viral enrichment, especially HPV, and a higher disease burden.

On soluble groups whose subnormal subgroups are inert [PDF]
A subgroup H of a group G is called inert if, for each g∈G , the index of H∩H g in H is finite. We give a classification of soluble-by-finite groups G in which subnormal subgroups are inert in the cases where G has no nontrivial torsion ...

Expression of FAS ligand in the ipsilateral and contralateral testicles of rats subjected to the torsion of the unilateral testicular cord [PDF]
PURPOSE: To investigate the expression of FAS ligand (FASL) in ipsilateral and contralateral testicles of rats submitted to ischemia/reperfusion. METHODS: Wistar rats (n=21) distributed into groups control (GC), n=5, testicular exposure; ischemia (GI ...

Abstract Purpose Bereiter trochleoplasty (TP) is a well‐described procedure to address trochlear dysplasia (TD). Post‐operative joint stiffness with reduced range of motion (ROM) is a common complication usually requiring arthroscopically assisted manipulation (AAM) with the removal of adhesions and scar tissue. Inferior clinical outcomes after TP have

Introduction. The goal of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to consolidate the available data on the role of the neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in predicting adnexal torsion (AT), to help guide clinical decision-making and outcomes ...

Abstract Revision surgery after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACL‐R) is hypothesized to be the result of an interplay between factors associated with the anatomy, physiological characteristics and environment of the patient. The multifactorial nature of revision ACL‐R risk is difficult to quantify, and evidence regarding the independent ...

Abstract Purpose Patello–femoral instability (PFI) is often caused by predisposing factors, with trochlea dysplasia (TD) as the most prominent. Untreated patellar instability leads to impaired function and an increased risk of patellofemoral osteoarthritis.

On Pro-$p$ Cappitt Groups with finite exponent
A pro-$p$ Cappitt group is a pro-$p$ group $G$ such that $\tilde{S}(G) = \overline{ \langle L \leqslant _c G \:|\, L \ntriangleleft G \rangle }$ is a proper subgroup (i.e. $\tilde{S}(G) \ne G$).
