Silicone breast implants are presented as a model system for understanding polymer permeation in vivo. Rather than representing material failure, “gel bleed” emerges from solution–diffusion transport‐mediated. By integrating polymer architecture, physicochemical transport, and biointerfacial processes, this review provides a unified framework that ...

On the torsional impact of a thick elastic plate
Abstract Propagation of the torsional waves in a thick elastic plate is analyzed under torsional impact loading on the circular regions of the upper and the lower surfaces. The solution is obtained by means of the Laplace and the Hankel transforms. Each stress component is represented by the sum of terms involving elliptic integrals. The interference

A New Large Impact Torsion Testing Machine
The large impact torsion testing machine which has recently been designed and constructed by the present authors, has the capacity of 100kg-m and the rotating speed from 100rpm to 2600rpm. This machine is fit to make intermittent loading, the detection of axial stress caused during the torsional deformation and the tests under combined stress by adding

Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

On triply coupled vibrations of axially loaded thin-walled composite beams [PDF]
Free vibration of axially loaded thin-walled composite beams with arbitrary lay-ups is presented. This model is based on the classical lamination theory, and accounts for all the structural coupling coming from material anisotropy.
