The experiment and analysis of torsion axle stiffness
2015 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), 2015Variation of tank torsion axle stiffness will appear along mileage increasing, and it will affect comfort and reliable durability of tanks. In this paper, the torsion axle stiffness is tested for two types of tank with various mileages, and the variation tendency of tank torsion axle stiffness is obtained.

On torsional stiffness and natural frequency of bellows
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2004Simplified formulae for torsional natural frequencies of bellows are developed using an equivalent thin-walled pipe model. To do this the torsional stiffness of bellows needs to be worked out. The torsional stiffness of bellows is determined using Chien's integration method.

Torsional Stiffness of Twisted Wire Cables
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1977In recent work, expressions were presented for the effective modulus of twisted wire cables consisting of a single lay. Results showed that axial load is nonlinear function of axial strain. However, the nonlinearity is quite small, and for most practical cases axial load can be treated as a linear function of axial strain.

On the torsional stiffness of thick laminated plates
Journal of Composite Materials, 2013An analytical method is developed for the calculation of the torsional stiffness of thick laminated rectangular plates of finite width. Through-thickness shear deformations are included in order to satisfy vanishing of in-plane shear stresses at the free edges, which constitutes a non-trivial effect in thick laminated plates.

Torsional Stiffness Analysis of Car Bodies
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers: Automobile Division, 1965Expressions are provided for calculating the torsional stiffness of a car body passenger compartment. The two main reaction systems which contribute towards the torsional stiffness, i.e. the couple due to shear forces in the roof and floor and the rectangular frame formed by the sill torque boxes and the end bulkheads of the passenger compartment ...

Torsional Strength and Stiffness of Steel Structures
Engineering Journal, 1980The torsional strength and stiffness of steel structures might seem to many to be a rather forbidding topic, but it can be quite simple for a wide variety of common steel structures such as bridges, towers, laced structural members, hydraulic gates and others.

Zero (Or Low) Torsional Stiffness Couplings
Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 1969In many rotating systems shaft couplings of low torsional stiffness may bring dangerous one node critical speeds below the operating speed range. However, even soft couplings on multi-mass systems may allow higher node criticals to remain in the operating range.

Testing Technology of Torsional Vibration Spring Static Stiffness
2008The principle and method of testing static stiffness of torsional vibration spring are put forward based on the structure of dual-mass flywheel with torsional vibration spring, and the test bench is designed for these. The testing data is collected by using the PXI-6259 data collection card of National instrument and the data is processed by the ...

Measurement of Torsional Natural Frequencies, Moments of Inertia and Torsional Stiffness of Shafts
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2005<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper presents a method to measure torsional natural frequencies and to calculate moment of inertia and torsional stiffness of a shaft. The concepts of equivalent mass moment of inertia and equivalent torsional stiffness are used to model the shaft.
