Telegraph frequency noise in electromechanical resonators
We demonstrate experimentally the possibility of revealing fluctuations in the eigenfrequency of a resonator when the frequency noise is of the telegraph type.

Abstract As wind turbines become larger and move into deeper sea, their operating environment is getting more and more harsh, which puts higher stability requirements of the transmission chain. The mechanical-hydraulic hybrid transmission (MHHT) combines mechanical and hydraulic systems to improve transmission stability.

Mixed finite element models for free vibrations of thin-walled beams [PDF]
Simple, mixed finite element models are developed for the free vibration analysis of curved thin-walled beams with arbitrary open cross section. The analytical formulation is based on a Vlasov's type thin-walled beam theory with the effects of flexural ...

Modal analysis of multistage gear systems coupled with gearbox vibrations [PDF]
An analytical procedure to simulate vibrations in gear transmission systems is presented. This procedure couples the dynamics of the rotor-bearing gear system with the vibration in the gear box structure. The model synthesis method is used in solving the

Severe drill string vibrations, particularly stick–slip, significantly compromise drilling efficiency and tool longevity in deep hard formations. Compound percussive drilling (CPD) has emerged as a promising technique to mitigate these vibrations and enhance the rate of penetration (ROP).

Work Versus Force: Simultaneous Processes for Describing Interactions
ABSTRACT Achieving a unified description of interactions remains an open challenge in theoretical physics, which currently describes four fundamental forces. This situation may be viewed differently when interactions are formulated in terms of processes (work as actio) rather than forces (force as actio), not only at the macroscopic level but also at ...
