Analysis and design of a torsional vibration isolator for rotating shafts
Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, 2019A torsional vibration isolator which connects input and output rotating shafts was proposed in this study. For the design of the torsional vibration isolator, two dimensionless performance indices that quantify vibration isolation and response agility were defined.

Vibration isolation is an effective method to mitigate unwanted disturbances arising from dynamic loading conditions. With smart materials as suitable substitutes, the conventional passive isolators have attained attributes of semi-active as well as the active control system.

Vibration isolation performance of a beam clamped with torsional quasi-zero-stiffness isolator
Journal of Vibration and Control, 2023Elastic beam structures connected by hinges are a common basic component of many mechanical systems. In this study, the nonlinear transverse vibration of a beam with one end free and the other end simply supported with a torsion spring is investigated.

A torsion quasi-zero stiffness vibration isolator
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2015Abstract A torsion vibration isolator with quasi-zero stiffness (QZS) is proposed to attenuate the transmission of torsional vibration along a shaft system, which also plays a role of coupling between shafts. A pre-compressed cam–roller mechanism is designed to provide torsional negative stiffness that counteracts with the positive torsion stiffness ...

A torsion–translational vibration isolator with quasi-zero stiffness
Nonlinear Dynamics, 2019In this paper, a torsion–translational quasi-zero-stiffness (TT QZS) isolator with convex ball–roller mechanisms was proposed to attenuate the torsion and translational vibrations along shaft systems simultaneously. The mathematical model of the isolator was established, based on which the static characteristics of the isolator were analyzed and the ...
