Torus Computed Tomography [PDF]
We present a new computed tomography (CT) method for inverting the Radon transform in 2D. The idea relies on the geometry of the flat torus, hence we call the new method Torus CT. We prove new inversion formulas for integrable functions, solve a minimization problem associated to Tikhonov regularization in Sobolev spaces and prove that the solution ...

Current status of the torus palatinus and torus mandibularis
While there is a hereditary component to tori, this does not explain all cases. Tori tend to appear more frequently during middle age of life; the torus palatinus is more commonly observed in females, but this is not the case with the torus mandibularis. Certain ethnic groups are more prone to one torus or the other.

On Self-fusions of Torus Knots on the Torus [PDF]
For the torus knot on the standard torus in R3, we can get another torus knot by performing a self-fusion on the torus. In the present paper, we define the self-fusion number sf(p, q) for the torus knot T(p, q) as the minimum number of self-fusions to become the trivial knot from T(p, q), and detect sf(p, q).

A 54-year-old man who presented to the clinic for a routine examination was found to have a hard swelling in the floor of mouth. The swelling was noticed at the age of ten years and had been gradually progressing over the years. However, there was no history of chewing difficulty, dysphagia, dysarthria, oral ulcers or sleep disturbances. On examination,

A Note on Finite Dimensional Odd Contact Lie Superalgebra in Prime Characteristic
Over a field of characteristic p>3, let KO(n,n+1;t̲) denote the odd contact Lie superalgebra. In this paper, the super-biderivations of odd Contact Lie superalgebra KO(n,n+1;t̲) are studied.

AbstractThis paper presents a new algorithm for torus/torus intersection. The pre-image of the intersection in the parametric space of one torus is represented by an implicit equation. The pre-image is divided into one-valued function curve segments by characteristic points.

Untwisting 3-strand torus knots [PDF]
We prove that the signature bound for the topological 4‐genus of 3‐strand torus knots is sharp, using McCoy's twisting method. We also show that the bound is off by at most 1 for 4‐strand and 6‐strand torus knots, and improve the upper bound on the ...

Embedding torus in hexagonal honeycomb torus
A number of parallel algorithms admit a static torus-structured task graph. Hexagonal honeycomb torus (HHT) networks are regarded as promising candidates for interconnection networks. In order to efficiently execute a torus-structured parallel algorithm on an HHT, it is essential to map the tasks to processors so that the communication overhead is ...
