Torus canards are solutions of slow/fast systems that alternate between attracting and repelling manifolds of limit cycles of the fast subsystem. A relatively new dynamic phenomenon, torus canards have been found in neural applications to mediate the transition from spiking to bursting via amplitude-modulated spiking.

On the Multidimensional Limit Theorem for Endomorphisms of the Euclidean Space [PDF]
Nearly optimal refinement of the earlier estimates of the convergence rate in the multidimensional central limit theorem for sums of functions of the trajectories of endomorphisms of the s-dimensional Euclidean space was performed.

Fuzzy Metric Spaces Of The Two-Fold Fuzzy Algebra [PDF]
This paper is dedicated to defining and studying for the first time the concept of fuzzy metric spaces based on two-fold fuzzy algebras, where the elementary properties of this new concept will be studied and presented by many theorems and related ...

Orientation Effects on the Inner Region of Dusty Torus of Active Galactic Nuclei
A sublimation process governs the innermost region of the dusty torus of active galactic nuclei. However, the observed inner radius of the torus is systematically smaller than the expected radius by a factor of ~ 1/3.

Torus Palatinus and Torus Mandibularis in Edentulous Patients
Abstract Aim To determine the prevalence of tori in Jordanian edentulous patients, the sex variation in their distribution, and their clinical characteristics. Methods Three hundred and thirty eight patients were examined in the Prosthodontic Clinic in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Jordan University of Science and Technology.

Near-Infrared Reverberation by Dusty Clumpy Tori in Active Galactic Nuclei
According to recent models, the accretion disk and black hole in active galactic nuclei are surrounded by a clumpy torus. We investigate the NIR flux variation of the torus in response to a UV flash for various geometries. Anisotropic illumination by the

\`\` Doubling of torus'' is found in three-or four-dimensional dissipative mappings. In these models, doubling occurs only a finite number of times before chaos appears. An explanation is attempted by a numerical study on the stability against perturbation of the direct product state of coupled logistic and torus maps.

Aharonov-Bohm effect in higher genus materials
Flux periodicity of conducting electrons on a closed surface with genus two $g=2$ (double torus) are investigated theoretically. We examine flux periodicity of the ground-state energy and of the wave functions as a function of applied magnetic field.
