ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Subgross Morphology, the Sick Lobe Hypothesis, and the Success of Breast Conservation
Breast carcinoma has a complex subgross morphology in the majority of cases. The malignant transformation usually involves a single breast lobe and may demonstrate peripheral, segmental, or lobar growth patterns in the in situ phase.

Proton-proton, pion-proton and pion-pion diffractive collisions at ultra-high energies
The LHC energies are those at which the asymptotic regime in hadron-hadron diffractive collisions ($pp,\pi p,\pi\pi$) might be switched on. Based on results of the Dakhno-Nikonov eikonal model which is a generalization of the Good-Walker eikonal approach

Godsdiens: Middel tot verslawing of tot heling?
There are two sides to religion, on the one hand the threat that implies emotional pain and addiction, on the other hand the healing and liberating effect of a balanced and healthy religion. In this article the focus is on the former. Factors which render people vulnerable to spiritual addiction are put on the table.

Ispitivanja uticaja srednjeg masenog udela azota u nitrocelulozii veličine čestica modifikatora na brzine sagorevanja dvobaznih raketnih goriva / Investigation of the influence of the mass average ratio of nitrogen in nitrocellulose and the particle size on burning rates of double base propellants [PDF]

What do experimental data "say" about growth of hadronic total cross-section? [PDF]
We reanalyse $\bar p p$ and $pp$ high energy data of the elastic scattering above $\sqrt{s}=5$ GeV on the total cross-section $\sigma_{tot}$ and on the forward $\rho$-ratio for various models of Pomeron, utilizing two methods.

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Optimized Double-well quantum interferometry with Gaussian squeezed-states
A Mach-Zender interferometer with a gaussian number-difference squeezed input state can exhibit sub-shot-noise phase resolution over a large phase-interval. We obtain the optimal level of squeezing for a given phase-interval $\Delta\theta_0$ and particle
