Anecdotal Pluralism, Total Evidence and Religious Diversity
Philosophia, 2020My main claim is that, contrary to the assumptions of mainstream literature, epistemic religious diversity is not a matter of an abstract comparison among the belief systems of different religions or denominations; rather, it is a relation arising from the epistemic encounter among individuals who adhere to different doxastic groups.

Total Effects of Privatization: Evidence from Turkey
Review of Radical Political Economics, 2018I examine effects of the privatization process as a whole in Turkey. I show that the privatization process begins before the firm is sold to private agents. I find that privatization causes the firm-level workforce to decline by 65 percent, profit-margin to increase by 18 percent, and no substantial changes in real sales.

Novel phylogeny of whales supported by total molecular evidence
Journal of Molecular Evolution, 1997Given that the analysis of a single gene does not necessarily provide unambiguous phylogenetic information, it is important to scrutinize as many genes as possible. Using the maximum likelihood method, particularly suitable for a total evidence approach, we evaluated the phylogenetic information provided by the 12S and 16S rRNA, cytochrome b, and ...

Total Evidence Or Taxonomic Congruence: Cladistics Or Consensus Classification
Cladistics, 1998Miyamoto and Fitch's (1995,Syst. Biol.44: 64–76) verificationist arguments for taxonomic congruence are evaluated and found to be unconvincing. In particular, there is no logical connection between the truth of phylogenetic hypotheses and the independence of the sets of characters analysed for their consensus.

Total knee replacement: an evidence-based analysis.
Ontario health technology assessment series, 2012The aim of this review was to assess the effectiveness, in terms of pain reduction and functional improvement, and costing of total knee replacement (TKR) for people with osteoarthritis for whom less invasive treatments (such as physiotherapy, analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs, intra-articular steroids, hyaluronic acids, and arthroscopic surgery ...

Is total-etch dead? Evidence suggests otherwise.
Compendium of continuing education in dentistry (Jamesburg, N.J. : 1995), 2012Both the total-etch and self-etching systems of today have the potential to provide durable adhesive interface, and despite the proclamations of some, total-etch is alive and well. Indeed, evidence indicates that a viable and growing market remains for total-etch adhesive systems.
