Intravascular lithotripsy in chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention: Insights from the PROGRESS‐CTO registry

Catheterization and cardiovascular interventions, 2022
The use of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) in chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has received limited study.

Development and validation of a prediction model for angiographic perforation during chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention: OPEN‐CLEAN perforation score

Catheterization and cardiovascular interventions, 2021
Perforation is the most frequent complication of chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and is associated with adverse events including mortality.

Total infrarenal aortic occlusion

The American Journal of Surgery, 1977
Our experience from 1960 to 1976 with total infrarenal aortic thrombosis (Leriche syndrome) was reviewed. Sixteen heavy smokers (14 men and 2 women) with an average age of fifty-four years underwent thrombectomy with aortoiliac (12 patients) or aortofemoral (4) Dacron bypasses.

[Chronic total occlusions].

Giornale italiano di cardiologia (2006), 2009
Many studies showed that successful recanalization of chronic total occlusion (CTO) provides an improvement of long-term outcome and left ventricular ejection fraction, electrical stability of the myocardium, increased tolerance to future coronary events, and last but not least an improvement in quality of life.

Coronary Chronic Total Occlusion

Cardiology Clinics, 2010
Chronic total coronary occlusions (CTOs) are a frequent finding in patients with coronary disease and remain one of the most challenging target lesion subsets for intervention. CTOs have been reported in approximately one-third of patients undergoing diagnostic coronary angiography.

Outcomes of retrograde chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention: A report from the OPEN‐CTO registry

Catheterization and cardiovascular interventions, 2020
We sought to assess in‐hospital and long‐term outcomes of retrograde compared with antegrade‐only percutaneous coronary intervention for chronic total occlusion (CTO PCI).

Chronic Total Occlusions

2018
Many studies showed that successful recanalization of chronic total occlusion (CTO) provides an improvement of long-term outcome and left ventricular ejection fraction, electrical stability of the myocardium, increased tolerance to future coronary events, and last but not least an improvement in quality of life.

Initial report of safety and procedure duration of robotic‐assisted chronic total occlusion coronary intervention

Catheterization and cardiovascular interventions, 2020
No previous reports have examined the impact of robotic‐assisted (RA) chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI on procedural duration or safety compared to totally manual CTO PCI.
