Total ossicular replacement with a porous ultra-high molecular weight prosthesis.
The American journal of otology, 1986A short review of techniques and materials in treating totally disabled ears is presented. Basic principles to be observed in dealing with these problems are discussed and personal experiences with the Plastipore total prosthesis are given. Forty-six cases are reviewed with comments on the functional results achieved.
