A comparison of total reaction cross section models used in particle and heavy ion transport codes
To be able to calculate the nucleon-nucleon and nucleon-nucleus total reaction cross sections with precision is very important for studies of basic nuclear properties, e.g. nuclear structure.

Neurovascular Contacts in the Pathophysiology of Neuralgic Amyotrophy: An Observational Study
ABSTRACT Objective Neuralgic amyotrophy (NA) is a prevalent, monophasic, multifocal immune‐mediated neuropathy. A distinctive characteristic of the disease is the occurrence of nerve or fascicle constrictions and torsions (NA‐associated focal nerve lesions, NAFL). The pathophysiology underlying this phenomenon remains to be fully elucidated.

Spin Polarization in γd→ $vec{n}$ n→ p
The study of spin observables is an important and active issue in low energy nuclear physics. In this contribution we report our recent calculation on the γd→ $vec{n}$ n→ p reaction at low photon energies.

Upper limit of the total cross section for the pn --> pn eta' reaction
The upper limit of the total cross section for the pn --> pn eta' reaction has been determined near the kinematical threshold in the excess energy range from 0 to 24 MeV. The measurement was performed using the COSY-11 detector setup, a deuteron cluster target, and the proton beam of COSY with a momentum of 3.35 GeV/c.

A study of proton total reaction cross sections for several medium-mass nuclei between 20 and 48 MeV
Proton total reaction cross sections (σR) have been measured for 51V, 54Fe, 56Fe, 57Fe, and 59Co at seven incident proton energies between 20.8 and 47.8 MeV at the University of Manitoba's Cyclotron Laboratory.

Energy dependence of total reaction cross sections for 17Ne on a proton target
We measured the energy dependence of the total reaction cross sections (sigma_R) for the proton drip-line nucleus of neon isotopes, 17Ne, with a solid hydrogen target.

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

p-process nucleosynthesis via proton-capture reactions in thermonuclear supernovae explosions
Model calculations within the framework of the so-called γ process show an underproduction of the p nucleus with the highest isotopic abundace 92Mo. This discrepancy can be narrowed by taking into account the alternative production site of a type Ia ...

Associations of Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity With Frailty Over Five Years of Follow‐up
Objective To evaluate whether rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease activity is associated with frailty both in cross‐section and longitudinally. Methods Participants within the Veterans Affairs Rheumatoid Arthritis (VARA) registry enrolled from 2003 to 2022 were included.
