Particulate matter < 10 μm (PM10) and total suspended particulates (TSP) in urban, rural and alpine air in Switzerland

Atmospheric Environment, 1995
Ambient concentrations of particulate matter of less than 10 μm aerodynamic diameter were measured in Switzerland for a 1 yr period in 1993 at a dozen urban, rural and alpine sites. PM10 concentrations ranged between 10 μg m−3 (alpine) and 33 μg m−3 (urban).

Chemical composition of Total Suspended Particulate matter (TSP) in obaretin

Scientia Africana, 2018
Particulate matter was captured from five different sites in Obaretin, Ikpota-Okha LGA of Edo State using SKC Air Check gravimetric sampler Model 21-5000 serial no 20537 and a glass fiber filter between the months of December 2008 and April 2009. The glass fiber filters were analyzed for nine trace metals – Fe, Cu, Zn, Cd, Mn, Pd, Ni, Cr and Co (by ...

Phytoavailability and speciation of aluminum carried by total suspended particulates (TSP) to Masson pine (Pinus massoniana L.)

Atmospheric Environment, 2012
Abstract Aluminum (Al) is an abundant metal in airborne particulate matter. Al concentrations carried by total suspended particulates (TSP) of the Nanjing atmosphere were distinctly higher in soils of industrial areas than the background concentration of the soils.

Study of Ambient Air Particulates (Particulate Matter [PM]2.5, PM10, and Total Suspended Particulates [TSP]) Ionic Species Concentrations in Asian Countries During 1995–2009

Environmental Forensics, 2013
This review focuses on the concentrations of ionic species (Cl−, NO− 3, SO2− 4, Na+, NH+ 4, K+, Mg2+, and Ca2+) in ambient air in Asian countries during the years 1995–2009. The main likely source of the ionic species Cl−was the ocean while the source of NO− 3and SO2− 4was fossil fuel power stations, and that of Ca2+was terrestrial dust and alkaline ...

Total suspended particulate (TSP), polychlorinated dibenzodioxin (PCDD) and polychlorinated dibenzofuran (PCDF) emissions from medical waste incinerators in Antioquia, Colombia

Chemosphere, 2008
Results of a preliminary survey of particulate and dioxin emissions in combustion gases from hospital waste incinerators in Antioquia-Colombia are presented. Base line data of total suspended particulate (TSP) and polychlorinated dibenzodioxin and dibenzofuran (PCDD/PCDF) emissions in incinerators from health care institutions in Antioquia-Colombia ...

open access: possible, 2022
PT.

Evaluation of AERMOD and CALPUFF for predicting ambient concentrations of total suspended particulate matter (TSP) emissions from a quarry in complex terrain

Environmental Pollution, 2013
Concentrations of particulate emissions from a quarry located in hilly terrain were calculated by two common atmospheric dispersion models, AERMOD and CALPUFF. Evaluation of these models for emissions from quarries/open pit mines that are located in complex topography is missing from the literature.

Measuring metallic elements of total suspended particulates (TSPs), dry deposition flux, and dry deposition velocity for seasonal variation in central Taiwan

Atmospheric Research, 2014
Abstract The purposes of this study were to investigate and characterize ambient air particulate concentrations and dry deposition fluxes and those metallic elements associated with them in central Taiwan during 2009–2010. At the Bei-Shi (suburban/coastal) sampling site, the average TSP concentrations, flux, and deposition velocity were 92.3 (μg m− 3)

The Relationship Between Total Suspended Particulate Matter (TSP) and British Smoke Measurements in London: Development of a Simple Model

Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association, 1995
Abstract This article develops an empirical relationship between the British Smoke (BS) measurement, coefficient of haze (CoH), and Total Suspended Particulate Matter (TSP) for London winter periods of the early 1950s and 1960s. A bounded nonlinear model of form BS = TSP3 / (TSP2 + [200 μg/m3]2 ) fits the available BS/TSP data and meets the urban ...
