On quasi-Sasakian structure on a totally umbilical hypersurface of a six-dimensional Hermitian planar submanifold of Cayley algebra

open access: yesDifferencialʹnaâ Geometriâ Mnogoobrazij Figur, 2022
Six-dimensional planar submanifolds of Cayley algebra equipped with almost Hermitian structures induced by Brown — Gray three-fold vector cross products in are considered.

Totally Contact Umbilical Lightlike Hypersurfaces of Indefinite -Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2013
We study totally contact umbilical lightlike hypersurfaces of indefinite -manifolds and prove the nonexistence of totally contact umbilical lightlike hypersurface in indefinite -space form.

A New Characterization of Totally Umbilical Hypersurfaces in de Sitter Space

open access: yesAdvances in Pure Mathematics, 2014
It is shown that a compact spacelike hypersurface which is contained in the chronological future (or past) of an equator of de Sitter space is a totally umbilical round sphere if the kth mean curvature function Hk is a linear combination of Hk+1,…, Hn. This is a new angle to characterize round spheres.

A note on η-quasi-umbilical hypersurfaces in almost Hermitian manifolds

open access: yesДифференциальная геометрия многообразий фигур, 2023
In the present note, we consider the introduced by Lidia Vasil’evna Stepanova notion of an -quasi-umbilical hypersurface in an almost Hermitian manifold.

Characterization of totally umbilical hypersurfaces [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1981
This paper gives a sufficient condition for a complete hypersurface of a Riemannian manifold of constant curvature to be umbilical. The condition will be given by an inequality which is established between the length of the second fundamental tensor and the mean curvature. K. Nomizu and B.

Totally Umbilical Lightlike Hypersurfaces in Robertson-Walker Spacetimes [PDF]

open access: yesISRN Geometry, 2014
We study the problem of lightlike hypersurface immersed into Robertson-Walker (RW) spacetimes in this paper, where the screen bundle of the hypersurface has constant higher order mean curvature. We consider the following question: under what conditions is the compact lightlike hypersurface totally umbilical?

Totally umbilical hypersurfaces of Spinc manifolds carrying special spinor fields [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics, 2020
Under some dimension restrictions, we prove that totally umbilical hypersurfaces of Spin[Formula: see text] manifolds carrying a parallel, real or imaginary Killing spinor are of constant mean curvature. This extends to the Spin[Formula: see text] case the result of Kowalski stating that, every totally umbilical hypersurface of an Einstein manifold of

LIGHTLIKE REAL HYPERSURFACES WITH TOTALLY UMBILICAL SCREEN DISTRIBUTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2010
The author studies the geometry of lightlike real hypersurfaces of an indefinite Kähler manifold. The main result is a characterization theorem for lightlike real hypersurfaces \(M\) of an indefinite complex space form \(\overline M(c)\) such that the screen distribution is totally umbilic.
