Challenges of Adaptive Cruise Control Systems in Bangladesh Road Transportation Sectors: A State of Art

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) is one of the modern vehicle digitalization inventions over the world. It automatically adjusts the speed of a subject vehicle to match the speed of the vehicle in front of the subject vehicle. The ACC systems will be the more advanced driving assistant techniques in the next generation of Bangladesh.

Implant‐Retained Obturator for an Edentulous Patient with a Hemimaxillectomy Defect Complicated with Microstomia

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
Patient. A 68‐year‐old man was operated on for squamous cell carcinoma (T3N3M0) of the maxilla creating the hemimaxillary surgical defect on right side. The remaining arch was completely edentulous. There was remarkable limitation in the oral opening with reduced perimeter of the oral cavity due to radiation and surgical scar contracture.

Intersection Complexity Quantification Considering Driver Behavior Characteristics and Subjective Cognition

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Intersections with high complexity often present an increased risk of accidents, thereby reducing traffic safety. Current models for measuring intersection complexity primarily focus on objective factors that influence intersection operation. However, they fail to consider the impact of intersection complexity on driver behavior or the feedback ...

Trypanosoma evansi and Surra: A Review and Perspectives on Origin, History, Distribution, Taxonomy, Morphology, Hosts, and Pathogenic Effects

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Trypanosoma evansi, the agent of “surra,” is a salivarian trypanosome, originating from Africa. It is thought to derive from Trypanosoma brucei by deletion of the maxicircle kinetoplastic DNA (genetic material required for cyclical development in tsetse flies).

Plasma Treatment Maintains Surface Energy of the Implant Surface and Enhances Osseointegration

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biomaterials, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
The surface energy of the implant surface has an impact on osseointegration. In this study, 2 surfaces: nonwashed resorbable blasting media (NWRBM; control) and Ar‐based nonthermal plasma 30 days (Plasma 30 days; experimental), were investigated with a focus on the surface energy.
