AbstractSpider graphs are the intersection graphs of subtrees of subdivisions of stars. Thus, spider graphs are chordal graphs that form a common superclass of interval and split graphs. Motivated by previous results on the existence of Hamilton cycles in interval, split and chordal graphs, we show that every 3/2‐tough spider graph is hamiltonian.

Reviews the book, Behavioral Analysis of Maternal Filicide by Joy Lynn E. Shelton, Tia A. Hoffer, and Yvonne E. Muirhead. Several leading texts have been published on maternal filicide but they are becoming dated and we are still grappling with the complexities surrounding why mothers kill their children.

A tough product for a tough application
World Pumps, 2020One of the harshest and most complex operating applications is oil & gas production, where numerous liquid-handling functions need to be completed reliably and flawlessly for full optimisation. This article looks at why peristaltic (hose) pumps excel in this environment.

TOUGHNESS, ISOLATED TOUGHNESS AND PATH FACTORS IN GRAPHS
Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2021AbstractA graph G is called a $(P_{\geq n},k)$ -factor-critical covered graph if for any $Q\subseteq V(G)$ with $|Q|=k$ and any $e\in E(G-Q)$ , $G-Q$ has a $P_{\geq n}$ -factor covering e. We demonstrate that (i) a $(k+1)$ -connected graph G with at least $k+3$ vertices is a $(P_{\geq 3},k)$ -factor-critical covered graph if its toughness

Debt is a ubiquitous component of households’ financial portfolios. Yet we have scant understanding of how household debt constrains spending on needed health care. Diverse types of debt have different financial properties and recent work has shown that they may have varying implications for spending on needed health care.

Fracture Toughness and Fatigue Threshold of Tough Hydrogels
ACS Macro Letters, 2018Hydrogels of numerous chemical compositions have achieved high fracture toughness on the basis of one physical principle. As a crack advances in such a hydrogel, a polymer network of strong bonds ruptures at the front of the crack and elicits energy dissipation in the bulk of the hydrogel.

The Tough Tracheoesophageal Puncture
The Laryngoscope, 2011At the conclusion of this presentation, the participants should be aware of the technique and success of in-office transnasal esophageal (TNE)-guided tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) placement in patients who have failed prior attempts in the operating room or are not healthy enough to undergo general anesthesia. The aim of this study was to demonstrate
