Harnessing Carbenoid Reactivity From Imidazoles and Oxiranes

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
The combination of azole compounds and oxiranes exhibits carbenoid reactivity at elevated temperatures, as demonstrated by the successful benzoin condensation of aromatic aldehydes. Using this catalytic system to polymerize bifunctional aldehyde/oxirane monomers yields thermosets with glass transition temperatures above 100°C.

Optical Charge Trap Memory Based on Graphene/ZnO Heterostructures for Long‐Term Retention and Adaptive Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A biocompatible graphene/ZnO optical charge trap memory (CTM) is reported with over 54 h retention, enabled by interfacial photodoping. Using transient absorption spectroscopy and electrical analysis, charge transfer quenching is elucidated and reveal that a large energy barrier at the interface is responsible for long‐term memory retention.

The Prentice - O'Gorman destination appraisal matrix for tourism development and marketing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We ask how tourists are thought to make decisions in choosing a destination to visit. The traditional approach emphasised the sequence by which possible destinations were rejected. Prentice's ideas, instead, emphasise the processes of choosing.
