Plastic Limit Analysis of Ice Coating Transmission Tower-Line Systems

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
Transmission tower-line systems with different elevations in mountainous areas are established in this paper. The change curve of ice increasing with time was given according to the data of ice record. Considering the influences of height difference, ice increasing, plastic analysis of transmission tower is carried out.

Dynamic Response of Conductor Breakage for Oxytropis Transmission Tower-Line System

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2010
Dynamic response of conductor breakage is analyzed on guyed oxytropis transmission tower-line system of 500KV 5291 JinJiang-Zhenjiang lines. Considering unbalanced tension, finite element method is presented. Result of the transient analysis shows that the vibration of tower-line system happens after conductor breakage.

The Establishment of Transmission Tower Line System and Its Wind Load Simulation

2021 IEEE 5th Information Technology,Networking,Electronic and Automation Control Conference (ITNEC), 2021
The transmission tower line system includes towers, wires, ground wires, insulator strings and so on. To study the changes of transmission lines under wind load is of great significance. This article explains how to automatically establish a transmission tower line system and the system simulation under wind loads.

Seismic responses of transmission tower-line system under multi-component ground motions

Advances in Structural Engineering, 2023
In this study, shaking table tests, theoretical research, and finite element modeling analysis were conducted on seismic responses of a transmission tower-line system under multi-component ground motions. The rocking component of ground motion was determined from the original seismic record by the wavelet analysis.

The Response Analysis of Angle Tower Line System by Broken Lines

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015
The suddenly break makes the tension of tight lines rapid realease. The tower system will be subject to impact, but the design specification considers the break load only by static load.Beacuse of the angle between the sides of the transmission lines and the span changes, In order to solve this problem this paper uses the finite element program ANYSY/LS-

Dynamic Behavior of Transmission Tower-Line Systems Subjected to Insulator Breakage

International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics, 2018
Ice loads attached to a transmission tower-line system can not only increase the vertical loads on the insulators, but also cause flashover to occur more easily. Both effects can lead to an increased probability of insulator breakage. In this paper, a finite-element model of a transmission tower-line system with three towers and four span lines under ...

Progressive Collapse of Power Transmission Tower-Line System Under Extremely Strong Earthquake Excitations

International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics, 2016
The simulation of progressive collapse of a power transmission tower-line system subjected to extremely strong earthquakes is studied in this paper. A three-dimensional finite element model is established for the coupled system that combines three towers and four span lines based on a practical project.
