Regional Characteristics of Towns in the Center of the Koto Plain

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Human Geography, 1960
The center of the Koto plain, dealt with here, can be reached within 40-90 minutes by train from metropolitan such as Osaka, (population, over 2 millions) and Kyoto (population, over 1.2 million). In this district, the regional structure formed as a local center has been gradually weakened by the growth of these metropolises.

Evolutionary radiation of large‐bodied gorgonopsians from the lower Abrahamskraal formation of South Africa

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The middle Permian represents a critical interval in therapsid evolution, when gorgonopsians emerged as some of the first specialized apex predators within terrestrial ecosystems. Despite their significance, the early diversification of Gorgonopsia in Gondwana remains poorly understood due to scarcity and fragmentary material.

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The evolution of the hominin pelvis is commonly modeled as a series of stages driven largely by the requirements of bipedal locomotion, reproduction, thermoregulation, and pelvic floor muscular support. These patterns are complicated by variation in canal dimensions in relationship with different changes in overall pelvic breadths. To quantify

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Hyperodapedontine rhynchosaurs possessed a unique oral apparatus, long interpreted as an adaptation for processing abrasive and resistant plant material. However, the microanatomical and histological evidence supporting this interpretation remains poorly documented.
