Heavy Metal Toxicity and the Environment [PDF]
Heavy metals are naturally occurring elements that have a high atomic weight and a density at least five times greater than that of water. Their multiple industrial, domestic, agricultural, medical, and technological applications have led to their wide distribution in the environment, raising concerns over their potential effects on human health and ...

Aberrant glycosylation in the glioblastoma tumor microenvironment drives therapeutic resistance. Here, a 3D bioprinted model was engineered by incorporating α‐NeuNAc‐(2→3)‐β‐D‐Gal‐ and chondroitin sulfate. Combined multiplex immunofluorescence and synchrotron‐based nanoCT analysis revealed that glycan‐matrix interactions dictate specific drug‐escape ...

Reversible Tuning of Multiple Molecular Kinking for Stem Cell Regulation In Vivo
In this work, we introduce the novel concept of background component‐free “multiple kinks” material platform composed solely of liganded multiple kink‐bearing molecules as a strategy for dynamic biomaterial design. Tri‐kink molecules enable effective near‐infrared light‐triggered ligand masking and visible light‐triggered ligand exposure, thereby ...
