Removal of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPHs) from Oil-Polluted Soil in Iran
Phytoremediation is an emerging environmental-friendly technology that can be a promising solution to remediate oil-polluted soils. The impact of high amount of hydrocarbons on growth characteristics of burningbushand common flax was evaluated in this survey.

Bioremediation and detoxification of real refinery oily sludge using mixed bacterial cells
Anaerobic biotreatment of real field petroleum refinery oily sludge (PROS) was investigated under using four different organic loads (OLs) in the order of OL4 > OL3 > OL2 > OL1, in bench-scale bioreactors.

Aquatic Effects of a Localized Oil Spill on Lake Conway, AR and Its Tributaries [PDF]
Oil spills, no matter where they occur, elicit environmental concern and avoiding these disasters should be a priority. Old pipelines that are not regularly maintained and carry large amounts of crude oil long distances are of particular concern.

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF TOTAL PETROLEUM HYDROCARBON (TPH) LEVELS IN BASRAH GOVERNORATE /IRAQ
As the document of national strategy for Iraqi environment protection from(2013-2017) shows that the environmental awareness concepts is new in the Iraqi society and so limited due to the economic and security priorities under the current conditions, especially aqua environmental awareness side, for verifying this important variable an investigation

PROGRESS OF TOTAL PETROLEUM HYDROCARBONS (TPHs) TREATED WITH BIOSOLVENT IN A SIMULATED OIL SPILL ON SANDY BEACH MICROCOSMS [PDF]
Experiments with microcosms of sand corresponding to high, mid and low intertidal area were contaminated with crude oil and treated with biosolvent. Two treatments were done. The first (treatment 1) treating the sand 5 days before the event of contamination and the second (treatment 2) treated immediately after the contamination.

Identifying pathways of exposure to highway pollutants in great crested newt (Triturus cristatus) road mitigation tunnels: Exposure pathways of highway pollutants to Triturus cristatus [PDF]
Road mitigation tunnels are increasingly deployed for amphibians but very little is known about chemical pollution in such schemes. We assessed pollution pressures associated with road runoff at a major great crested newt mitigation scheme in England ...
