The tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) 2 gene unlike TPH-1 exhibits no association with stress-induced depression

Journal of Affective Disorders, 2008
Serotonin (5-HT) has been implicated in the pathophysiology of several psychiatric disorders including major depression (MD). Tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the biosynthesis of serotonin (5-HT), and might be related to the pathogenesis of MD. Two isoforms are known, TPH-1 and TPH-2.

Development of the Risk Assessment and Management Strategies for TPH-Contaminated Sites Using TPH Fraction Methods

Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste, 2017
AbstractPetroleum hydrocarbon–contaminated soil and groundwater is a worldwide environmental problem, which results in environmental hazard and human health risk problems. Because petroleum is a complex composition mixture rather than a single compound, health risk assessment for a petroleum hydrocarbon–contaminated site is a complicated process.

TPH Replication Study: Not!

Archives of General Psychiatry, 1996
WE reported a population association between a tryptophan hydroxylase ( TPH ) intron 7 polymorphism with suicidal behavior in Finnish alcoholic offenders and with cerebral spinal fluid 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid concentration in impulsive offenders. 1 Abbar et al 2 found no association between a different TPH polymorphism and suicidal behavior in a ...

An evaluation of field total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) systems

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2001
An evaluation of several field kits and petroleum hydrocarbon measuring systems was conducted. The field kits were the immunoassay based EnviroGard petroleum fuels in soil test kit (EnviroGard, Millipore Canada, Mississauga, Ont., Canada), the turbidimetric based PetroFlag hydrocarbon test kit for soil (Dexsil, Hamden, CT, USA), a DR/2000 field kit ...

The Bougainville 975 TPH Feeder

Journal of Engineering for Industry, 1973
This paper describes the traveling tripper-surge bin-feeder-screen system as well as the hopper design for mass flow of material. Highlights of the calculations are brought out, particularly those concerned with belt horsepower and pulley stresses due to unusually high tension.

Beyond TPH: Health-Based Evaluation of Petroleum Hydrocarbon Exposures

Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, 1996
The term "total petroleum hydrocarbons" (TPH) is a widely used, but loosely defined, parameter quantified by a number of different methodologies for expressing the aggregate amount of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds (PHCs) in a sample. Because of the shortcomings associated with comparing data from different methods, and the difficulty of assessing ...

Modulation of anger control in suicide attempters by TPH‐1

Genes, Brain and Behavior, 2009
A genetic association between the tryptophan hydroxylase gene (TPH)‐1 A218C polymorphism and suicidal behaviour is supported by numerous case–control studies as well as recent meta‐analyses. Some data suggest that this polymorphism could also influence individual differences in anger‐related personality traits, a phenotype partially under genetic ...

TPH.

1️⃣ Description – PDF preprint File: Twin_Primes_Analytic_Reduction_TPH.pdfSuggested title: Twin Primes: A Transparent, Auditable Analytic Reduction This preprint develops a transparent analytic reduction of the Twin Prime Conjecture (TPH), with a strong emphasis on explicit constants, error ledgers and auditability rather than on heuristic slogans ...

Case of Lognormally Distributed TPH in Contaminated Soil

Journal of Environmental Engineering, 1995
A land-farming project to remove diesel fuel from soil, which showed extremely variable total-petroleum-hydrocarbon (TPH) concentrations, is presented. Experiments showed that the variability was not an artifact of the TPH analytical method, but reflected the random distribution of contaminant in the soil.

Tph cells are expanded in IgA vasculitis nephritis

Molecular Immunology
Ectopic lymphoid structures (ELSs) contribute to maintaining the chronic inflammation process of IgA vasculitis nephritis (IgAVN) and are associated with a more severe disease course. PD-1hiCXCR5-CD4+ T peripheral helper (Tph) cells are recognized as the main CD4+ T cells that contribute to B cell immune responses and antibody production in ELSs ...
