En 2017, el Congreso Estatal de Trabajo Social se ha celebrado junto al I Congreso Iberoamericano de Trabajo Social. Celebrado en Extremadura. El Consejo General ha dado asi el paso de convertir este evento en internacional. El eje estrategico de este Congreso ha sido "Construyendo comunidades sostenibles".
