LMO7 Suppresses Tumor‐Associated Macrophage Phagocytosis of Tumor Cells Through Degradation of LRP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LMO7 in tumor‐associated macrophages suppresses phagocytosis of tumor cells and limits cytotoxic T lymphocytes infiltration, fostering tumor progression. Mechanistically, LMO7 mediates the ubiquitination and degradation of the phagocytic receptor LRP1, impairing its ability to engulf tumor cells and driving macrophages toward an antitumor phenotype ...

Development of a Dual Photoacoustic–Ultrasound Imaging System: Current Status and Future Perspectives

open access: yesSensors
Integrated photoacoustic and ultrasound (PAUS) imaging is a promising technology for both preclinical and clinical applications, as it exploits both advantages of photoacoustic (PA) and ultrasound (US) imaging in high resolutions and acoustic penetration

DSG2+ Cancer Stem Cells Co‐Located With FAP+ Myofibroblasts in the Tumor Boundary That Determines the Efficacy of Immunotherapy in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) in non‐small cell lung cancer display pronounced plasticity and spatial heterogeneity. By integrating single‐cell and spatial transcriptomics, this study defines a DSG2‐associated CSC program and reveals a tumor‐margin niche formed with FAP+ myofibroblasts.

Structure‐Guided Engineering of a Cas12i Nuclease Unlocks Near‐PAMless Genome Editing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CRISPR‐Cas nucleases are limited by PAM requirements, restricting genome accessibility. Structure‐guided engineering of the compact Cas12i nuclease SF01 produced three variants with near‐PAMless, enabling efficient editing at diverse 5'‐NNTN‐3' sites. These nucleases expand the editable portion of the human genome more than fourfold, enabling efficient

The Role of Courts in International Arbitration: A Critical Assessment on the Arbitration Draft Bill in Iran from the Perspective of Modern Arbitration Rules [PDF]

open access: yesFaṣlnāmah-i Pizhūhish-i Huqūq-i Khuṣūṣī, 2018
The role of courts in international arbitration can scarcely be denied. Courts play a crucial role in different stages in international arbitration. Having said that, the extent of courts' intervention in international arbitration has been subject to ...

TRAC Variants Associate with IgA Nephropathy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Society of Nephrology, 2009
The T cell receptor alpha constant gene (TRAC) encodes the constant region of the alpha chain for the T cell receptor, and the association of its gene variants with IgA nephropathy remains controversial. The authors resequenced the gene in 100 patients with IgA nephropathy and 100 controls, tested its linkage disequilibrium pattern, constructed ...

Reionization on Large Scales I: A Parametric Model Constructed from Radiation-Hydrodynamic Simulations

open access: yes, 2012
We present a new method for modeling inhomogeneous cosmic reionization on large scales. Utilizing high-resolution radiation-hydrodynamic simulations with 2048^3 dark matter particles, 2048^3 gas cells, and 17 billion adaptive rays in a L = 100 Mpc/h box,

Translational and Rotational Arrow Cues (TRAC) Navigation Method for Manual Alignment Tasks

open access: yesACM Transactions on Applied Perception, 2020
Many tasks in image-guided surgery require a clinician to manually position an instrument in space, with respect to a patient, with five or six degrees of freedom (DOF).

Mechanical Strain‐Programmed SDC1+ Sheath Fibroblasts Trigger CXCR4hi Neutrophil‐Mediated Enthesitis in Ankylosing Spondylitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In ankylosing spondylitis (AS), mechanical strain‐programmed SDC1+ sheath fibroblasts secrete CXCL5 to recruit neutrophils and promote the activation of CXCR4hi neutrophils, thereby exacerbating enthesitis by promoting neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation. SOX5 controls the generation of SDC1+ sheath fibroblasts via super‐enhancers.

Task-Driven Dictionary Learning for Hyperspectral Image Classification with Structured Sparsity Constraints

open access: yes, 2015
Sparse representation models a signal as a linear combination of a small number of dictionary atoms. As a generative model, it requires the dictionary to be highly redundant in order to ensure both a stable high sparsity level and a low reconstruction ...
