Matrigel inhibits elongation and drives endoderm differentiation in aggregates of mouse embryonic stem cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Stem cell‐based embryo models (SCBEMs) are valuable to study early developmental milestones. Matrigel, a basement membrane matrix, is a critical substrate used in various SCBEM protocols, but its role in driving stem cell lineage commitment is not clearly defined.

Management of trace elements and vitamins in organic ruminant livestock nutrition in the context of the whole farm system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
There is a wealth of information on the vital role of trace minerals in ruminant health. This information gives some reasonable indications of the levels required by dairy and beef animals to maintain good health though there is much less information ...

Water quality of Texas bays (nutrients, trace elements and toxic compounds) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
This manuscript is designed to compare the nutrient balances and trace element significance in Texas Bays and Estuaries. The task of assigning water quality criteria in all estuarine waters rests with the federal Environmental Protection Agency. However,

Transcriptome-wide association study identified candidate genes associated with gut microbiota

open access: yesGut Pathogens, 2021
Background Gut microbiota is closely associated with host health and disease occurrence. Host genetic factor plays an important role in shaping gut microbial communities.

On the comparison of positive elements of a C*-algebra by lower semicontinuous traces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
It is shown in this paper that two positive elements of a C*-algebra agree on all lower semicontinuous traces if and only if they are equivalent in the sense of Cuntz and Pedersen. A similar result is also obtained in the more general case where the two elements are comparable by their values on the lower semicontinuous traces.

Trace elements in rye - comparison of organic and conventional cultivation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The trials included comparison of four rye cultivars grown in organic and conventional farming systems at three locations during 1999 ...

Strict comparison of positive elements in multiplier algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Main result: If a C*-algebra is simple, $\sigma$-unital, has finitely many extremal traces, and has strict comparison of positive elements by traces, then its multiplier also has strict comparison of positive elements by traces. The same results holds if "finitely many extremal traces" is replaced by "quasicontinuous scale".

Nutrient budgeting for trace elements: Examples from Scottish organic farms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This report was presented at the UK Organic Research 2002 Conference. Farmgate nutrient budgets have been calculated for Cu, Co and Mo for six farms in NE Scotland.

Nutritional Aspects of Essential Trace Elements in Oral Health and Disease: An Extensive Review

open access: yesScientifica, 2016
Human body requires certain essential elements in small quantities and their absence or excess may result in severe malfunctioning of the body and even death in extreme cases because these essential trace elements directly influence the metabolic and ...
