The character table of the Hecke algebra $H_n(q)$ in terms of traces of products of Murphy operators [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1995
The traces of the Murphy operators of the Hecke algebra $H_n(q)$, and of products of sets of Murphy operators with non-consecutive indices, can be evaluated by a straightforward recursive procedure. These traces are shown to determine all the reduced traces in this algebra, which, in turn, determine all other traces.

A survey of Trace Metals Determination in Hospital Waste Incinerator in Lucknow City, India [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Information on the elemental content of incinerator burning of human organ, animal and medical waste is scanty in India Nineteen trace elements were analyzed in the incinerator ash from four major hospitals, one municipal waste incinerator and two R & D ...

Trace elements as an activator of antioxidant enzymes.

open access: yesPostępy Higieny i Medycyny Doświadczalnej, 2016
Oxidative stress is a state of impaired balance between the formation of free radicals and antioxidant capacity of the body. It causes many defects of the body, e.g. lipid peroxidation, DNA and protein damage. In order to prevent the effects of oxidative

Identification of differentially expressed and methylated genes associated with rheumatoid arthritis based on network

open access: yesAutoimmunity, 2020
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a multi-systemic inflammatory autoimmune disease involving peripheral joints, and the pathogenesis is not clear. Studies showed that DNA methylation and expression might also be involved in the pathogenesis of RA.

Trace Finite Element Methods for PDEs on Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
In this paper we consider a class of unfitted finite element methods for discretization of partial differential equations on surfaces. In this class of methods known as the Trace Finite Element Method (TraceFEM), restrictions or traces of background surface-independent finite element functions are used to approximate the solution of a PDE on a surface.

The trace of 2-primitive elements of finite fields (amended version) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Let $q$ be a prime power and $n, r$ integers such that $r\mid q^n-1$. An element of $\mathbb{F}_{q^n}$ of multiplicative order $(q^n-1)/r$ is called \emph{$r$-primitive}. For any odd prime power $q$, we show that there exists a $2$-primitive element of $\mathbb{F}_{q^n}$ with arbitrarily prescribed $\mathbb{F}_q$ trace when $n\geq 3$.

Dual‐Phase C‐11 PiB PET Images for Detecting Tau Pathology in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) is a major cause of lobar intracerebral hemorrhage and cognitive dysfunction in the elderly, and frequently coexists with Alzheimer's disease and tau pathology. Dual‐phase 11C‐PiB PET detects amyloid deposition and cerebral perfusion changes and may have diagnostic value for identifying tau in CAA ...

Development of a Disease Model for Predicting Postoperative Delirium Using Combined Blood Biomarkers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Postoperative delirium, a common neurocognitive complication after surgery and anesthesia, requires early detection for potential intervention. Herein, we constructed a multidimensional postoperative delirium risk‐prediction model incorporating multiple demographic parameters and blood biomarkers to enhance prediction accuracy ...
