Sedimentary Facies, Architectural Elements and Trace Fossils of Kashkan Formation, Folded Zagros Zone in SW Iran [PDF]
The Kashkan Formation (Paleocene to Middle Eocene), consists of conglomerate, sandstone, and siltstone in the Zagros Folded zone, southwest Iran. Type of the sedimentary facies, architectural elements and trace fossils show that Kashkan deposits were ...

Enhancing Biogenic Formic Acid Production in the Modified OxFA Process by Acetonitrile Addition
In this study, the beneficial effect of using acetonitrile as a co‐solvent in the modified OxFA process is shown, outperforming methanol, demonstrating improved reaction kinetics combined with high selectivity for the HPA‐2 (H5PV2Mo10O40) catalyzed oxidation of xylose to FA.

The co-occurrence of vertebrate trace and body fossils within a single geological formation is rare and the probability of these parallel records being contemporaneous (i.e. on or near the same bedding plane) is extremely low.

Composite Phymatoderma from Neogene deep-marine deposits in Japan: Implications for Phanerozoic benthic interactions between burrows and the trace-makers of Chondrites and Phycosiphon [PDF]
Among composite trace fossils, one of the most common structures throughout the Phanerozoic are structures (e.g., dwelling trace, feeding trace) reworked by Chondrites and/or Phycosiphon.

The integration of rare‐metal neodymium centers to engineer Lewis acid sites with nickel centers is proposed as highly efficient UOR catalysts. ABSTRACT The sluggish kinetics of the urea oxidation reaction (UOR) are strongly associated with the high energy barriers required for the C‐N cleavage and N‐N coupling steps.

First known fossil bird tracks (Pleistocene) on San Salvador island, Bahamas
Two avian footprints discovered in the Grotto Beach Formation (Pleistocene) of San Salvador Island (Bahamas) are the first known vertebrate trace fossils on this well-studied island. The trace fossils, preserved as beddingplane impressions in an oolitic-

ZrO2 Aerogel‐Supported Pd Nanoparticles for Photothermal CO2 Reduction
Nanoparticle‐based aerogels are promising catalysts for photothermal reactions due to optical transparency, high surface area, and low thermal conductivity. Here, we present deposition of Pd nanoparticles on ZrO2 aerogel granules by a wet‐impregnation approach.

Lower Eocene Footprints from Northwest Washington, USA. Part 1: Reptile Tracks
Lower Eocene fluvial strata in the Chuckanut Formation preserve abundant bird and mammal tracks. Reptile trace fossils include footprints from a small turtle (ichnogenus Chelonipus), and several Crocodylian trackways that consist of irregularly spaced ...

A Review of Failure Modes and Safety Strategies of Lithium‐Ion Batteries from Materials to Systems
A cascade‐aware framework is presented for lithium‐ion battery safety, linking thermal runaway initiation, acceleration, runaway reaction, and propagation with material‐, cell/pack‐, and system‐level interventions. By integrating failure mechanisms, quantitative safety indicators, and staged interception strategies, this review highlights how safer ...
