Pediatric Pheochromocytoma With Rapid Cyclic Blood Pressure Fluctuations: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Cyclic blood pressure fluctuations in pheochromocytoma are extremely rare, and previously reported cases have been limited to adults. We report a 5‐year‐old boy with von Hippel–Lindau disease and a left adrenal pheochromocytoma who developed rapid cyclic blood pressure fluctuations immediately after tracheal intubation.

Three Cases of Chylothorax After Lung Cancer Surgery: Possible Lymphatic Vessel Variation in the Upper Right Mediastinum

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Postoperative chylothorax is an uncommon complication after lung cancer resection. However, chylous leakage caused by iatrogenic injury of aberrant mediastinal lymphatic vessels often presents massive drainage and fails conservative treatment, requiring reoperation.

Anterior Mediastinal Mature Teratoma Presenting With Mediastinal Mass Syndrome in a Six‐Month‐Old Infant: Diagnostic Pitfalls and Anesthetic Challenges

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT An anterior mediastinal mass in infants can present with life‐threatening complications due to airway and vascular compression. We report a six‐month‐old infant with a mature teratoma presenting as mediastinal mass syndrome, highlighting the diagnostic challenges and anesthetic risks involved.

Primary pulmonary salivary gland‐type tumors in cytopathology practice: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesCancer Cytopathology, Volume 134, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract Background Primary pulmonary salivary gland‐type tumors (PSGTs) are rare but clinically significant tumors that originate from the submucosal glands of the tracheobronchial tree. Cytologic samples taken during bronchoscopy are a key component of preoperative evaluation. However, cytologic diagnosis remains challenging because of the submucosal

Tracheal resection after tracheal stenosis

open access: yes, 2008
After endotracheal intubation or tracheostomy, airway damage may be occurred and serious respiratory distress may be seen in the patient. In this case report, we discussed the anesthetic care during tracheal resection in a patient with severe respiratory

Submental Approach Robotic‐Assisted Neck Dissection (SARAND) for Minimally Invasive Bilateral Neck Dissection: A Feasibility Cadaver Dissection Study

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 48, Issue 10, Page 2934-2942, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Following promising initial results of the robotic‐assisted extended “Sistrunk” approach (RESA) that uses a submental incision to hypopharyngeal and laryngeal tumors, bypassing the base of tongue, we report its further development: submental approach robotic‐assisted neck dissection (SARAND), intended to enable bilateral neck ...

An uncommon indication for tracheal resection

open access: yes, 1996
In well selected cases, in which preoperative investigations allow us to plan a tracheal resection-anastomosis, surgery is the best current treatment also for secondary tumours involving the trachea.

Safety Profile of Nebulized Ciprofloxacin‐Dexamethasone After Pediatric Airway Surgery

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 10, Page 4514-4518, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the safety profile and patterns of use of nebulized ciprofloxacin–dexamethasone (CPD) in pediatric patients undergoing airway surgery. Methods A retrospective chart review was performed of patients who underwent airway surgery at a tertiary pediatric center between 2019 and 2023 and received nebulized CPD 0.3%–0.1 ...

Circumferential Extramural Spread of Tracheal Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Causing Unexpected Positive Margin

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports
Tracheal adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) often shows submucosal extension, leading to positive margins. A male patient presented with dyspnea due to an intraluminal tumour arising from the membranous mid‐trachea. Rigid bronchoscopy debulking confirmed ACC.
