Asymptotic tracking control of dynamic reference over homomorphically encrypted data with finite modulus

open access: yesAutomatica
This paper considers a tracking control problem, in which the dynamic controller is encrypted with an additively homomorphic encryption scheme and the output of a process tracks a dynamic reference asymptotically. Our paper is motivated by the following problem: When dealing with both asymptotic tracking and dynamic reference, we find that the control ...

Fly Ash-Based Stabilizer Sampling in Railway Track Bed and Determination of Young's Modulus

open access: yesInżynieria Mineralna, 2015
This paper deals with the investigation of the fly ash-based stabilizer used as a layer in railway track bed. It is a “new” material in railway structures. The main purpose of stabilizer is to reinforce railway track bed. The above mentioned fly ash-based stabilizer is a mixture consists of fly ash from Chvaletice plant in the Czech Republic, FGD ...

Long‐Term Hydrophilic, Anti‐Clotting, and Anti‐Fibrotic Dynamic Covalent Silicone‐Based Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic covalent crosslinking of a Schiff‐base silicone elastomer with hydrazide‐functionalized polymers is demonstrated to improve the long‐term hydrophilicity as well as the anti‐fouling and anti‐clotting properties of PDMS implants. The hydrazone‐functionalized material prevents hydrophobic recovery, resists clotting, and significantly reduces ...

Young’s modulus variation with azimuth for fracture-orientation estimation

open access: yes, 2018
This study focuses on developing a pragmatic and robust method in the estimation of fracture orientation assuming a single set of aligned fractures. The Young’s modulus in the direction of fracture orientation is larger than that in the perpendicular ...

Simulation of vertical dynamic vehicle–track interaction using a three-dimensional slab track model

open access: yes, 2020
When improving track design, a better understanding of the track\u27s damage modes is needed, and the railway industry is then dependent on the availability of accurate simulations of the dynamic vehicle–track interaction.

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.
