Path tracking control of tracked vehicles

Proceedings 2000 ICRA. Millennium Conference. IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation. Symposia Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37065), 2002
A path tracking control algorithm for tracked surface drilling machines is presented. The general dynamic model of such vehicle is simulated including track-soil interactions. The controller is based on feedback linearization of the equations with feedforward friction compensation.

Automated Counting and Tracking of Vehicles

International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, 2017
A robust traffic surveillance system is crucial in improving the control and management of traffic systems. Vehicle flow processing primarily involves counting and tracking vehicles; however, due to complex situations such as brightness changes and vehicle partial occlusions, traditional image segmentation methods are unable to segment and count ...

Trajectory planning of tracked vehicles

[1993] Proceedings IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
The motions of planar tracked vehicles are governed by three force and moment equations. The force equation perpendicular to the tracks represents a dynamic nonholonomic constraint which is explicitly dependent on vehicle speed. It couples path planning with trajectory planning.

Tracking of Moving Vehicles with a UAV

2018 Joint 10th International Conference on Soft Computing and Intelligent Systems (SCIS) and 19th International Symposium on Advanced Intelligent Systems (ISIS), 2018
Multiple object tracking is important for video surveillance. This paper addresses the tracking of moving vehicles with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Moving cars are segmented to generate the centroids of objects. The centroids become inputs for tracking. Tracking is performed with Kalman filtering which estimates the dynamic states of targets.

Trajectory Planning of Tracked Vehicles

Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1995
This paper presents a method for computing the track forces and track speeds of planar tracked vehicles, required to follow a given path at specified speeds on horizontal and inclined planes. It is shown that the motions of a planar tracked vehicle are constrained by a velocity dependent nonholonomic constraint, derived from the force equation ...

Tracking Ground Vehicles in Heavy-traffic Video by Grouping Tracks of Vehicle Corners

2007 IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Conference, 2007
Tracking vehicles in heavy-traffic video is a challenging problem. It is hard for algorithms based on background extraction to work well. We propose an algorithm that does not need background information. In this algorithm, vehicle corners are detected and tracked, and then grouped into vehicles.

Nonlinear Observer for Vehicle Motion Tracking

2018 Annual American Control Conference (ACC), 2018
This paper focuses on the development and use of a nonlinear observer for tracking of vehicle motion trajectories on highways while using a radar or laser sensor. Previous results on vehicle tracking have typically used an interacting multiple model filter that needs different models for different modes of vehicle motion.
