Conopulse Radar Angle Tracking Accuracy
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1980An analysis is given of the tracking accuracy of a conopulse radar that angle-tracks on target echo pulses. The analysis includes effects of noises in both sum and difference channels, the effect of the tracking range gate's duration, and applies to any shape of radio frequency (RF) pulse envelope.

Tracking performance evaluation: track accuracy in dense target environments
SPIE Proceedings, 1990ABSTRACT This paper is generally related to analytic methods for evaluating tracking performance, in par-ticular for predicting track accuracy in dense target environments. A very simple analytic expression is derived to predict the effects of mis-associations on track accuracy. The paper analyzes an optimal track-to-measurement assignment algorithm in

Accuracy assessment protocols for electromagnetic tracking systems
Physics in Medicine and Biology, 2003Electromagnetic tracking systems have found increasing use in medical applications during the last few years. As with most non-trivial spatial measurement systems, the complex determination of positions and orientations from their underlying raw sensor measurements results in complicated, non-uniform error distributions over the specified measurement ...

Improved accuracy tracking using synchronized Wiimote cameras
Proceeding of the 16th International Academic MindTrek Conference, 2012A new method and a prototype system for optical tracking using camera sensors from Nintendo Wii remote controllers are introduced. The system is of very low cost and can easily be extended to cover large areas. By bypassing the native Bluetooth interface and increasing the image analysis rate, extraordinary real-time performance is achieved.

Limitations on maximal tracking accuracy. I. Tracking step signals
Proceedings of 35th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002Studies optimal tracking performance issues pertaining to finite dimensional, linear, time invariant feedback control systems. The problem under consideration amounts to determining the minimal tracking error between the output and input signals of a system, attainable by all possible stabilizing compensators. An integral square error criterion is used

Tracking Accuracy & Error Analysis
1993An important criterion for validating the seam tracking algorithm is establishing an upper bound on the tracking error during the entire seam tracking process. If the tracking error does not propagate from one cycle to the next then the stability of the seam tracking process is ensured.

Asymmetrical Spatial Accuracy in 3D Tracking
Proceedings of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting, 1994This paper reports on asymmetrical spatial accuracy of human subjects in tracking of an object which moves randomly with 6 degrees-of-freedom (DOF) in a 3D environment. It was found that, for translational errors, RMS deviations in the depth (Z) direction were 40% higher than those in the horizontal (X) direction, for an experimental display which ...

High Accuracy Tracking of Underwater Objects
2008 Congress on Image and Signal Processing, 2008Instantaneous frequency and time-delay measured accurately are important technologies for high precise underwater positioning. In order to prevent the leakage interference from other frequency channels, variability of instantaneous frequency sequence (VIFS) calculation and frequency estimations were adopted. The synchronous positioning model (spherical)
