On sun tracking accuracy of concentrators
Applied Solar Energy, 2010For exact and inexact concentrators, the influence of the accuracy of Sun tracking on the characteristics of the concentrated spot was investigated. It was found that, for solar furnaces, the tracking accuracy can be no higher than 4 angular minutes and, for solar energy facilities, it can be no higher than 7 angular minutes.

Accuracy of the passive tracking systems
12th International Conference on Microwaves and Radar. MIKON-98. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.98EX195), 2002In this paper, the problems of increasing the accuracy and resistance of a passive tracking systems (PTS) which operates in conditions of interference are solved. We suppose that the PTS are multipurpose wide-band synchronous automated data communication systems (ADCS).

Accuracy of position and track
2004Catastrophic marine accidents are rare. Of those collisions and standings which do occur, many start as quite routine navigational situations; just another night, just another watch, just another target. Something then goes awry perhaps the radar fails to display an islet or a target's calculated closest point of approach (CPA) is erroneous ...

Relativistic and classical doppler electronic tracking accuracies
Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1963The first-order Doppler effect has, in general, been used in electronic tracking, but for the greater accuracies now desired in velocity measurements, this approach is no longer satisfactory. A fundamental study of the Doppler effect is presented in this paper.

High Accuracy Head Pose Tracking Survey
2014Head pose estimation is recently a more and more popular area of research. For the last three decades new approaches have constantly been developed, and steadily better accuracy was achieved. Unsurprisingly, a very broad range of methods was explored - statistical, geometrical and tracking-based to name a few. This paper presents a brief summary of the

Homing radar tracking accuracy improvement with frequency diversity
Guidance, Control and Flight Mechanics Conference, 1970Available theory concerning glint reduction by usage of frequency diversity in a radar tracker is reviewed and unified. The theory was verified experimentally using 1) a target consisting of two corner reflectors (which could be representative of a low-flying aircraft and its sea image), 2) an isolated aircraft in level flight, and 3) a boat in a sea ...

Efficient Vessel Tracking with Accuracy Guarantees
2008Safety and security are top concerns in maritime navigation, particularly as maritime traffic continues to grow and as crew sizes are reduced. The Automatic Identification System (AIS) plays a key role in regard to these concerns. This system, whose objective is in part to identify and locate vessels, transmits location-related information from vessels

Tracking accuracies of frequency-hopping radars
IEEE Conference on Aerospace and Electronics, 2002Analytical techniques are presented for evaluating the glint error reduction of frequency-agile tracking radars using discrete frequency-hopping. The techniques can be used to compare the tracking accuracies obtained with different procedures for frequency selection. The cases of random and cyclic frequency-hopping are worked out in detail.

On achievable accuracy for pose tracking
2009 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2009This paper presents Cramer-Rao bound-like inequalities for pose tracking, which is defined as the problem of recovering the robot displacement given two successive readings of a relative sensor. Computing the exact Fisher Information Matrix (FIM) for pose tracking is hard, because the state comprises the map, which is infinite-dimensional and unknown ...
