Unveiling Salt Tolerance Mechanisms in Plants: Integrating the KANMB Machine Learning Model With Metabolomic and Transcriptomic Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Salt stress endangers coastal cereal crops, requiring resilient crop solutions. This study employs machine learning (KANMB) to analyze multi‐omics data from halophyte Spartina alterniflora, revealing 226 salt‐stress biomarkers and linking them to tolerance pathways. The MYB gene SaMYB35 regulates flavonoid biosynthesis under salinity.

Elastic Deformation of Cellulose/Lignin‐Based Anode for Rejuvenating Aged Mix‐Cultured Electroactive Biofilms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new strategy for revitalizing aged biofilms using the elastic deformation of biomass‐based flexible carbon aerogel is proposed. The elastic deformation removes the nonelectrogenic bacteria and the dead electrogenic bacteria, as well as a lot of loosely bound extracellular polymer materials.

A Bio‐Responsive Hydrogel with Spatially Heterogeneous Structure for Treating Infectious Tissue Injuries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The hydrogel incorporates Ag⁺‐loaded Preyssler‐type polyoxometalates (POMs) that release Ag⁺ ions in response to endogenous Na⁺ ions, ensuring controlled antibacterial activity. The spatially heterogeneous structure, created through dual‐channel fiber stacking and in situ cross‐linking, enhances structural integrity and promotes tissue regeneration ...

Synergistic Modulating of Mitochondrial Transfer and Immune Microenvironment to Attenuate Discogenic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gallic acid (GA) and copper ions self‐assemble to form nanoparticles, which are then modified with mitochondrial targeting peptides and gap junction modulator. These nanoparticles scavenge mitochondrial reactive oxygen species to induce M2 polarization and enhance intercellular mitochondrial transfer.
