Anti-Inflammatory and Skin-Moisturizing Effects of a Flavonoid Glycoside Extracted from the Aquatic Plant Nymphoides indica in Human Keratinocytes

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Nymphoides indica, an aquatic plant, is used as folk medicine in some countries. Our previous study demonstrated that the methanol extract of N. indica inhibited the activity of tyrosinases, tyrosine related protein (TRP)1 and TRP2, and microphthalmia ...

Van der Waals Heterostructures for Next‐Generation Spintronics: Multiferroic‐Mediated Magnetoelectric Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As CMOS technology approaches fundamental energy limits, new paradigms for low‐power information processing are required. Magnetic systems are attractive for their spin transport, yet current‐induced magnetization control is energy inefficient. Multiferroic heterostructures enable energy‐efficient electric field manipulation of magnetism.

Multiplexed Profiling of Individual Extracellular Vesicles Reveals Lung Cancer‐Associated Protein Signatures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cygnus (Cyclic‐imaging gateway to nanovesicles underlying signature) integrates multiplexed single‐EV protein imaging with a practical analysis workflow to examine EV phenotypes at vesicle, subpopulation, and sample scales. ABSTRACT Lung cancer is frequently diagnosed after curative treatment windows have narrowed, creating a need for minimally ...

[The history of Korean traditional medicine].

open access: yesUi sahak, 2000
Records of ethnic medicine in the Kokuryo, Baekjae and Shilla dynasties can be found in foreign literature, and evidence that a medicine unique to Korean was being developed in the Koryo dynasty can be found in Korean historical records. With the founding of Chosun, Hyang-yak medicine was established, and a medicine purely and uniquely Korean took root.

A Cascaded DNA Nanocircuit for Multi‐Signal‐Responsive Precision siRNA Delivery in Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cascaded dual‐AND logic DNA nanocircuit is engineered to respond to three tumor‐specific signals in a sequential manner: extracellular acidic pH, membrane‐overexpressed nucleolin (NCL), and intracellular glutathione (GSH). This programmable system selectively releases siPARP1 in glioblastoma (GBM), effectively silencing PARP1 and reversing TMZ ...

Decoding Viral Transmission Dynamics in Structured Populations Using a Microfluidic Herd‐Immunity‐on‐a‐Chip Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A microfluidic Herd‐Immunity‐on‐a‐Chip experimentally recreates structured contact networks to quantify viral transmission dynamics. By controlling susceptible, infected, and non‐susceptible populations, the platform reveals how contact topology governs the reproduction number, outbreak propagation, herd‐immunity–like behavior, and intervention ...
