2017In this chapter I use Chinese music departments in the PRC and Taiwan as case studies, exploring how the process of institutionalization has reshaped traditional music in the region and how Chinese music programs have developed responses to growing concerns about their relevance to the surrounding community.

Umbellifere and traditional music
2015Multipipe flutes (Pan flutes) made of hollow stems of Umbelliferous plants were in use in Russia up until the start of the 21st century in KomiPermyak, Komi-Zyryan and Russian people. The plant species were identified as Angelica sylvestris and A. archangelica.
