APPLICATION OF FUZZY LOGIC TO TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL UNDER MIXED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Traffic signal control is commonly used at road intersections to minimise vehicular delay. Fixed time control shows good results in conditions where there is a little fluctuation in traffic demand, however in time-varying traffic

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Model for Predicting Road Markings Service Life

open access: yesThe Baltic Journal of Road and Bridge Engineering, 2019
Road markings provide drivers with the information necessary for their comfortable and safe journey. To achieve that, they must be visible in all driving conditions, which means that they have to be renewed and maintained in a timely manner.

CARBOTRAF: A decision Support system for reducing pollutant emissions by adaptive traffic management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Traffic congestion with frequent “stop & go” situations causes substantial pollutant emissions. Black carbon (BC) is a good indicator of combustion-related air pollution and results in negative health effects.

Structural Analysis of Network Traffic Matrix via Relaxed Principal Component Pursuit

open access: yes, 2012
The network traffic matrix is widely used in network operation and management. It is therefore of crucial importance to analyze the components and the structure of the network traffic matrix, for which several mathematical approaches such as Principal ...

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Aerodynamic effects of the gap spacing between adjacent vehicles on wind tunnel train models

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics, 2020
A certain gap spacing between adjacent vehicles is usually inevitable in wind tunnel force tests of high-speed trains under no crosswind, which may affect the wind tunnel test results.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Research on Chaotic Characteristics of Cascade Failure in Rail Transit Networks considering Nonlinear Load Fluctuations

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation
The stable and efficient operation of rail transit networks (RTNs) is critical for the integrated development of metropolitan areas. However, numerous studies have indicated that RTNs are prone to large-scale cascading failures when subjected to ...
