The pistil as a traffic light: Yellow‐to‐red color change likely influences pollinator visitation patterns in Saxifraga fortunei (Saxifragaceae)

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Flowers can communicate reproductive status to pollinators through visual cues. In Saxifraga fortunei, pistils often changed from yellow to red after pollination, and hoverflies and honeybees preferentially visited flowers with yellow pistils. This pattern suggests that a post‐pollination color shift confined to the pistil can reduce revisits to ...

Estimation of the traffic accidents costs in Serbia by using dominant costs model

open access: yesTransport, 2012
This paper presents estimation of the traffic accident costs in Serbia, based on original dominant costs model. Dominant costs model uses human capital approach and this model is developed for simple and quick calculation of the traffic accidents costs ...

Comparison of two numerical weather prediction models in simulating south foehn in the Alpine Rhine Valley

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
ICON outperforms COSMO in simulating a south foehn event in the Alpine Rhine Valley, with improved accuracy in temperature, wind speed, and foehn timing. This enhanced performance likely results from a more accurate representation of surface energy balance and gravity wave pattern on the lee side of the mountain.

Updating predictive accident models of modern rural single carriageway A-roads [PDF]

open access: yes
Reliable predictive accident models (PAMs) are essential to design and maintain safe road networks and yet the models most commonly used in the UK were derived using data collected 20 to 30 years ago.

Numerical simulation and physical understanding of a locally initiated sea fog event over the eastern Yellow Sea with a transition of air–sea temperature difference

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
Unexpected sea fog in the west coast of South Korea had a huge impact on the transportations in the Seoul–Incheon metropolitan area. We reproduced successfully the formation and evolution of a sea event with a transition of air–sea temperature difference using the Weather Research and Forecasting model.

Environmental, Social and Governance Strategies for Sustainable Development Goal 3: Enhancing Health and Social Wellbeing

open access: yesSustainable Development, Volume 34, Issue 3, Page 3865-3879, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The discourse on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies is growing, yet its ability to meaningfully advance health and social wellbeing (H&SW) in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 3) remains under‐examined. Existing studies assume that ESG automatically strengthens SDG 3 outcomes, yet how the Governance
