Traffic infraestructure inventory system by analyses images
SPIE Proceedings, 2011This paper describes a computer vision system designed to perform an inventory of traffic signals. The system consists of five Ethernet synchronized cameras; the acquisition strategy allows us to take one image per camera every other second. We then use those five images to generate a panoramic image each second.

Offloading in Internet of Vehicles: A Fog-Enabled Real-Time Traffic Management System
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, 2018Fog computing has been merged with Internet of Vehicle (IoV) systems to provide computational resources for end users, by which low latency can be guaranteed. In this paper, we put forward a feasible solution that enables offloading for real-time traffic

A new grey model for traffic flow mechanics
Engineering applications of artificial intelligence, 2020Accurate and real-time short-term traffic flow prediction is the core technology of an intelligent transportation system. In this paper, the vehicle conservation principle of traffic flow mechanics is applied to study the differential equation of traffic

Using Visualization Techniques for SNMP Traffic Analyses
2008 IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications, 2008The network management area is currently dealing with huge amounts of information, which are produced, for example, by large scale and high-speed networks, heterogeneous devices, and monitoring and notification systems. Researchers and network administrators are frequently supported by information visualization techniques in the task of analyzing these

A Technique to Analyse Session Initiation Protocol Traffic
11th International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS'05), 2006The session initiation protocol (SIP) will provide the signaling network in the next generation networks, such as UMTS and cdma2000. Here we study the traffic load generated by the use of this protocol from a methodological point of view. We propose an analytical technique to simulate SIP finite state machine (FSM) in an IP network by means of the ...
