Characterizing cyberlocker traffic flows
37th Annual IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks, 2012Cyberlockers have recently become a very popular means of distributing content. Today, cyberlocker traffic accounts for a non-negligible fraction of the total Internet traffic volume, and is forecasted to grow significantly in the future. The underlying protocol used in cyberlockers is HTTP, and increased usage of these services could drastically alter

Thousands of diverse applications and services flow daily over networks used by governments, industry, and private users. Attacks can be hidden within these information flows by disguising malicious network traffic to appear to be legitimate. Generally, TCP or UDP based protocols can be mapped to specific network services.

Flow aggregation for traffic engineering
2014 IEEE Global Communications Conference, 2014Although the use of software-defined networking (SDN) enables routes of packets to be controlled with finer granularity (down to the individual flow level) by using traffic engineering (TE) and thereby enables better balancing of the link loads, the corresponding increase in the number of states that need to be managed at routers and controller is ...

The design of highways, runways, ports or any transportation facility is guided by knowledge and theory of the traffic streams they serve. A facility’s scale, its geometry and its control measures are selected to affect certain properties of its traffic, such as the travel delay, the separation between vehicles, etc. In the case of highway traffic, the

Traffic Flow Classification Using Traffic Cameras
2018Traffic flow classification is an integrated task of traffic management and network mobility. In this work, a feature collection system is developed to collect the moving and appearance-based features of traffic images, and their performance are evaluated by different machine learning techniques including Deep Neural Networks (DNN), and Convolutional ...

Vehicles detection in Traffic Flow
2010 Sixth International Conference on Natural Computation, 2010Traffic Flow Analysis System is an important part of Intelligent Transportation Systems. It mainly contains two parts: vehicle detection part and vehicle tracking part. The efficient video object segmentation algorithm is the basis of vehicle detection part that aims to segment each vehicle correctly.

THE EFFECTS OF TAXI ON TRAFFIC FLOW
International Journal of Modern Physics C, 2009Taxi will come to one complete halt during the boarding/alighting period and might produce stop-and-go without passengers, so it often produces traffic interruption on the single-lane system. Tang et al. pointed out that the traffic flow model [Chin.

Simulation of traffic flows in a network
Communications of the ACM, 1969A computer simulation program which deals with traffic flows in the network of a large area is described. Each road is segmented into blocks of several ten-meter lengths and is represented by a bidirectional list in computer memory. The movement of cars, i.e. the transfer of cars from one block to the next, is expressed by a proper formula.

A Model of Traffic Flow in a Network
