The development of decision support models for European air traffic flow management [PDF]

open access: yes
Congestion severely affects air traffic in the US and Europe. To protect air traffic controllers from overloads a planning activity, Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM), emerged during the 1970s.

Making NGSIM data usable for studies on traffic flow theory. Multistep method for vehicle trajectory reconstruction

open access: yes, 2013
Despite the importance of NGSIM data for research on traffic flow theory, these data proved to be massively affected by measurement errors in the vehicle's spatial coordinates, errors that were further amplified in the differentiation process when speed ...

Ionizable Lipid‐Dependent Optimization of Steroid Lipid Nanoparticles With Tunable Immunomodulatory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel engineering strategy that establishes material design principles for incorporating anti‐inflammatory steroids into lipid nanoparticles to reduce LNP‐induced inflammation while retaining mRNA delivery. Results are validated in vitro and in three animal models of inflammation and autoimmunity in vivo.

Nuclear Pore Mechanotransduction in Oncology: A Structural Axis of Vulnerability for Targeted Intervention

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Cancer‐associated NPC remodeling creates a high‐flux, low‐stringency nuclear state that supports malignant adaptation but increases mechanical fragility. Targeting the FG‐barrier or NPC scaffold may drive mechanostat failure, envelope rupture, DNA damage, and loss of nuclear integrity.

Development of Mathematical Model for Traffic Flow within Speed Limitation

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
The paper discusses a symbiotic model of the traffic flow, based on the classical model of the longitudinal dynamic gauge of the automobile and an alternative model developed by the authors.

Rab1A Promotes Hepatic Steatosis by Suppressing Mitophagy via the Raf‐1/ERK1/2/PINK1 Signaling Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Why does fat accumulate in the liver? Our study reveals Rab1A as the molecular switch that silences the cell's mitochondrial cleanup crew. Turning Rab1A off reactivates mitophagy, clears excess fat, and reverses fatty liver disease in mice—offering a promising new therapeutic target for MASLD, a growing global health challenge.

Traffic Divergence Theory: An Analysis Formalism for Dynamic Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access
Traffic dynamics is universally crucial in analyzing and designing almost any network. This article introduces a novel theoretical approach to analyzing network traffic dynamics. This theory’s machinery is based on the notion of traffic divergence,

Memoirs on Highway Traffic Flow Theory in the 1950s [PDF]

open access: yesOperations Research, 2002
T here has been a revival of interest in traffic flow theory in the late 1990s, mostly because vehicle detectors have been installed at many highway locations throughout the world to record the passing of vehicles. The purpose of these detectors is to monitor congestion and provide information for possible control or to advise motorists of possible ...

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

MODELLING TRAFFIC FLOWS USING GRAPH THEORY

open access: yesMokslas - Lietuvos ateitis, 2010
An intensive increase in road transport, particularly individual, in recent years has led to such consequences as increased time spent on travel, the number of forced stops, traffic accidents, the occurrence of traffic jams on the road network, reducing traffic speed and a deteriorated urban road network in cities. The most effective method for solving
