Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

IDENTIFICATION OF TRAFFIC CONGESTION ON URBAN ARTERIALS FOR HETEROGENEOUS TRAFFIC [PDF]

open access: yesTransport Problems, 2017
With the rapid growth of urban traffic, the gap between traffic demand and supply is increasing by the day, and traffic congestion has become a part of urban Indian life. The following aspects have become important for transportation planners and managers: identification of the frequently congested road sections, estimating their influence on the ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Retracted: Traffic identification and traffic analysis based on support vector machine [PDF]

open access: yesConcurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, 2019
SummaryThe number of applications based on the Internet is increasing, which results the traffic becoming more and more complex. Therefore, how to improve the service quality and security of the network is becoming more and more important. This paper studies the application of SVM in traffic identification to classify network traffic.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Research on traffic identification and wavelength scheduling scheme in optical internet

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2008
A conception of universal inter-arrival time (UIAT), and a traffic identification algorithm based on UIAT by using Bayesian network was presented. A novel wavelength scheduling scheme with traffic identification was proposed and numerically simulated ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Research on P2P streaming media identification based on UDP

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
Several popular P2P networks TV were studied, and their differences in port usage and packet size distribution were analyzed thoroughly.By observing the above characteristics, the conclusions that network TV application employs only one port to generate ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
