SLKIR: A framework for extracting key information from air traffic control instructions Using small sample learning

open access: yesScientific Reports
In air traffic control (ATC), Key Information Recognition (KIR) of ATC instructions plays a pivotal role in automation. The field's specialized nature has led to a scarcity of related research and a gap with the industry's cutting-edge developments ...

Bioinspired Oxygen‑Enriched Nanodiamonds as Electrolytic Erythrocyte Mimics for Dendrite‑Free Zinc‑Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the cyclic transport of oxygen from the lungs (high‑O2 region) to tissues (low‑O2 region), oxygen‑enriched nanodiamond (OND) is introduced into aqueous zinc‑ion batteries as “electrolyte erythrocytes.” These OND repeatedly shuttle Zn2+ from high‑ to low‑concentration regions, dramatically flattening the Zn2+ gradient and thereby effectively

Cellular Identity Crisis: RD3 Loss Fuels Plasticity and Immune Silence in Progressive Neuroblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Researchers discovered that therapy‐induced loss of RD3 protein in neuroblastoma triggers a dangerous shift: cancer cells become more stem‐like, invasive, and resistant to treatment while evading immune detection. RD3 loss suppresses antigen presentation and boosts immune checkpoints, creating an immune‐silent environment.

Resilient Calvarial Bone Marrow Supports Retinal Repair in Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Skull bone (calvarium) marrow in diabetic mice stay structurally intact and keeps making blood cells, unlike the bone marrow of the leg bones. The skull marrow is exposed to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which contains protective molecules called oxysterols.
