Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Characteristics, Management, and Utilization of Muscles in Musculoskeletal Humanoids: Empirical Study on Kengoro and Musashi

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Musculoskeletal humanoids exhibit rich biomechanical properties that remain insufficiently unified in prior discussions. This article systematically categorizes muscle characteristics into five properties: redundancy, independency, anisotropy, variable moment arm, and nonlinear elasticity, and analyzes their combined effects on control.

Solving large structured Markov Decision Problems for perishable inventory management and traffic control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Published data revealed that Tagetes spp. suppress polyphagous endoparasitic root nematodes, that the effect varies, perhaps between Tagetes spp. and cultivars, certainly between nematode genera and perhaps between species and strains.

An Intelligent Feature Engineering‐Driven Hybrid Framework for Adversarial Domain Name System Tunneling Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel framework that enhances the reliability of DNS traffic monitoring using a hybrid long short‐term memory‐deep neural network (LSMT‐DNN) architecture, enabling robust detection of adversarial DNS tunneling. The proposed framework leverages feature extraction from DNS traffic patterns, including domain request sequences, query ...

OntoLogX: Ontology‐Guided Knowledge Graph Extraction From Cybersecurity Logs With Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
OntoLogX is an autonomous AI agent that uses large language models to transform unstructured cyber security logs into ontology grounded knowledge graphs. By integrating retrieval augmented generation, iterative correction, and a light‐weight log ontology, OntoLogX produces semantically consistent intelligence that links raw log events to MITRE ATT & CK

Real-time departure slotting in mixed-mode operations using deep reinforcement learning : a case study of Zurich airport

open access: yes, 2021
A mixed-mode runway operation increases the runway capacity by allowing simultaneous arrival and departure operations on the same runway. However, this requires careful evaluation of safe separation by experienced Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs).
