Traffic clustering rules in ATM networks

1994 IEEE GLOBECOM. Communications: The Global Bridge, 2002
Traffic integration versus traffic segmentation is studied in this paper with reference to an ATM environment. ATM constitutes a common physical platform to flexibly implement both segregated and dedicated networks exploiting the VC-VP switching features. While network integration is expected to provide significant economical and operational advantages,

Traffic Rules Violation Detection System

2021
In the world of new evolving technologies, violation of traffic rules has become a critical issue for the majority of the developing countries. With growing population, the number of vehicles on road is also increasing rapidly, and also, violations in traffic rules are increasing exponentially.

The Research on the Traffic Rules of Freeways

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
In this paper, a study of freeway traffic rules, respectively, from the traffic flow and road safety performance provides a theoretical basis for the establishment of a more rational road rules. First, we set up an appraisal system of the traffic flow which describes the flow from the average speed, the traffic density, the overtaking rate.

A Traffic Sign Discovery Driven System for Traffic Rule Updating

Proceedings of the 3rd ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on AI for Geographic Knowledge Discovery, 2019
Traffic rules characterize the relationship of connected roads, and are fundamental data in map. They play an important role in route planning, driver navigation, and autonomous driving system. The traffic rule update is a key ability of cartography since they change day by day in real world.

A Comprehensive Evaluation Model for Traffic Rule

2016
This article puts forward a model aimed at evaluating the traffic rule. We build the evaluating models to measure the traffic influencing factors, which can be divided into two kinds, the traffic flow factor and the safety factor. Analyze these factors to judge the performance of the keep-right-except-to-pass rule in light and heavy traffic.

Realistic multi-lane traffic rules for cellular automata

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1997
Abstract A set of lane changing rules for cellular automata simulating multi-lane traffic is proposed. It reproduces qualitatively that the passing lane becomes more crowded than the one for slower cars if the flux is high enough, which is true for motorways in countries like Germany where passing should be done on a specified lane as a rule.

The Study of Traffic Rules Based on Cellular Automata Traffic Wave Model

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
The traffic control problem is a hot issue in recent years. We investigate the effectiveness of three traffic rules in assuring safety and improve traffic flow. We utilize a cellular automata method of traffic flow to investigate and simulate the vehicle performance and use a linear weighting approach to weigh safety and traffic flow comprehensively ...

Expressway traffic flow model study based on different traffic rules

IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, 2018
In this paper, two cellular automata traffic models are proposed to simulate the operation of expressway. The results show that the flow rate and the average velocity are generally equal in the same density which is different among the lanes. The analysis of lane changing times and the velocity total deviation show some characteristics which are ...
