A study of the different uses of colour channels for traffic sign recognition on hierarchical temporal memory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
When designing intelligence for a car many different tasks can be performed. Some of these tasks cannot easily be performed by conventional algorithms in comparison with the human brain.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

HTSTL: Head-and-Tail Search Network With Scale-Transfer Layer for Traffic Sign Text Detection

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Although promising results have been achieved in the area of traffic sign detection, little attention has been paid to text detection on traffic signs. In fact, in today's popular driver-less automobile industry, traffic sign text which brings abundant ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Rare Traffic Signs Recognition

open access: yesProceedings of the 31th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Vision. Volume 2, 2021
Recognition of road signs is an important part of the control systems of autonomous vehicles and driver assistance systems. Modern recognition methods based on neural networks require large well-labeled datasets. Marking up data is quite expensive, but it is even more difficult to mark up rare classes of objects.

The role of lipid metabolism in neuronal senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Disrupted lipid metabolism, through alterations in lipid species or lipid droplet accumulation, can drive neuronal senescence. However, lipid dyshomeostasis can also occur alongside neuronal senescence, further amplifying tissue damage. Delineating how lipid‐induced senescence emerges in neurons and glial cells, and how it contributes to ageing and ...

A Cascaded R-CNN With Multiscale Attention and Imbalanced Samples for Traffic Sign Detection

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In recent years, the deep learning is applied to the field of traffic sign detection methods which achieves excellent performance. However, there are two main challenges in traffic sign detection to be solve urgently. For one thing, some traffic signs of

BMI‐1 modulation and trafficking during M phase in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The schematic illustrates BMI‐1 phosphorylation during M phase, which triggers its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. In cycling cells, BMI‐1 functions within the PRC1 complex to mediate H2A K119 monoubiquitination. Following PTC596‐induced M phase arrest, phosphorylated BMI‐1 dissociates from PRC1 and is exported to the cytoplasm via its
