TRAFFIC SIGNS RECOGNITION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT

2023
In this article, the authors consider the feasibility of developing systems for recognizing road signs, as well as road markings, registration and recognition of obstacles, and other traffic objects. The authors consider the possibility of using artificial neural networks to solve this problem.

Hierarchical Traffic Sign Recognition

2016
Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) is very important for driverless systems and driver assistance systems. Because of the large number of the traffic sign classes and the unbalanced training data, we propose a hierarchical recognition method for traffic sign recognition.

Traffic Sign Recognition Using YOLOv3

2020 International Conference Quality Management, Transport and Information Security, Information Technologies (IT&QM&IS), 2020
There was developed a system within this study that recognizes traffic signs on video. This system uses the YOLOv3 convolutional neural network architecture. The maximum accuracy of recognition of road signs reached 93.91% per 1000 iterations and 99.94% per 2000 iterations.

Reliable Traffic Sign Recognition System

Anais Estendidos do X Latin-American Symposium on Dependable Computing (LADC Estendido 2021), 2021
Traffic sign detection and recognition is an important part of Advance Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS), which aims to provide assistance to the driver, autonomous driving, or even monitoring of traffic signs for maintenance. Particularly, misclassification of traffic signs may have severe negative impact on safety of drivers, infrastructures, and ...

Towards reliable traffic sign recognition

2009 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, 2009
The demand for reliable traffic sign recognition (TSR) increases with the development of safety driven advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Emerging technologies like brake-by-wire or steer-by-wire pave the way for collision avoidance and threat identification systems.

Traffic Sign Detection and Recognition

2017
In this chapter, we formulated the problem of traffic sign recognition in two stages namely detection and classification. The detection stage is responsible for locating regions of image containing traffic signs and the classification stage is responsible for finding class of traffic signs.

Real-Time Traffic Sign Recognition

2018 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics - Asia (ICCE-Asia), 2018
Traffic sign recognition is a technology by which a vehicle is able to recognize the traffic signs on the road. In this paper, we propose a novel traffic sign recognition that can operate robustly and accurately for real scenes of Korean roads. The proposed method first detects a potential traffic sign and then recognizes the content of the potential ...

Traffic Sign Recognition Revisited

1999
The first part of this paper provides an overview of previous work on traffic sign recognition. Various components are discussed, such as detection, classification and temporal integration. The second part of this paper covers a recently developed shape-based system, based on distance transforms.
