An Improved Light-Weight Traffic Sign Recognition Algorithm Based on YOLOv4-Tiny

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Aiming at the problems of low detection accuracy and inaccurate positioning accuracy of light-weight network in traffic sign recognition task, an improved light-weight traffic sign recognition algorithm based on YOLOv4-Tiny was proposed. By improving the

CR-YOLOv8: Multiscale Object Detection in Traffic Sign Images

open access: yesIEEE Access
Due to the large-scale changes of different forms of traffic signs and the rapid speed of vehicles, the detection accuracy and real-time performance of general object detectors are greatly challenged, especially the detection accuracy of small objects ...

Traffic Sign Detection and Recognition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology, 2020
As placement of traffic sign board do not follow any international standard, it may be difficultfor non-local residents to recognize and infer the signs easily. So, this project mainly focuses ondemonstrating a system that can help facilitate this inconvenience.

Simulation Analysis on Driving Behavior during Traffic Sign Recognition [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2011
The traffic signs transfer trip information to drivers through vectors like words, graphs and numbers. Traffic sign with excessive information often makes the drivers have no time to read and understand, leading to risky driving. It is still a problem of

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

The role of lipid metabolism in neuronal senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Disrupted lipid metabolism, through alterations in lipid species or lipid droplet accumulation, can drive neuronal senescence. However, lipid dyshomeostasis can also occur alongside neuronal senescence, further amplifying tissue damage. Delineating how lipid‐induced senescence emerges in neurons and glial cells, and how it contributes to ageing and ...
