Network Traffic Simulator 2.0: Simulating the internet traffic
2009 IEEE International Workshop on Open-source Software for Scientific Computation (OSSC), 2009The Internet consists of a global network that provides us an impressive accessibility to various services such as Word Wide Web, email and file sharing. Understanding how the Internet is built and how data are propagated between communication networks, and more precisely between each couple of two remote computers represent an interesting challenge ...

Recently, there has been growing interest in using microsimulation models to assess the safety of road facilities by analyzing vehicle trajectories and estimating conflict indicators. Using microsimulation models in safety studies can have several advantages, although concerns have been raised about the ability of these models to represent unsafe ...

SIMULATION OF SELF-SIMILAR TRAFFIC AND A TCP TRAFFIC SIMULATOR
Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing, 2000This paper presents a simulation method of self-similar traffic and a type of TCP traffic simulators based on autocorrelation sequences. The impulse function of a simulator is carried out. The parameter estimations for modeling the impulse function of the simulator are determined by multidimensio nal nonlinear least squares fitting.
