Research on Sports Training Action Image Recognition Based on SDN

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
Current image recognition methods cannot combine the transmission of image data with the interaction of image features, so the steps of image recognition are too independent, and the traditional methods take longer time and cannot complete the image ...

Improving face gender classification by adding deliberately misaligned faces to the training data

open access: yes, 2008
A novel method of face gender classifier construction is proposed and evaluated. Previously, researchers have assumed that a computationally expensive face alignment step (in which the face image is transformed so that facial landmarks such as the eyes ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Image Sand–Dust Removal Using Reinforced Multiscale Image Pair Training

open access: yesSensors
This study proposes an image-enhancement method to address the challenges of low visibility and color distortion in images captured during yellow sandstorms for an image sensor based outdoor surveillance system.

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

A comparative analyses of training of separable and non-separable image filters with genetic algorithms

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2017
Separable image filter is a subclass of convolutional image filters that are used widely. The coefficients of these types of image filters can be determined with training images using heuristic approaches as well as analytical methods.

Improving Bag-of-Words model with spatial information

open access: yes, 2010
Bag-of-Words (BOW) models have recently become popular for the task of object recognition, owing to their good performance and simplicity. Much work has been proposed over the years to improve the BOW model, where the Spatial Pyramid Matching technique ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
